Your Y-DNA traces one line of your ancestry back through deep time — your direct paternal line. Your mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) traces another — your direct maternal line. yfull.ai reads both, finds exactly where they sit on the YFull tree — a research-grade map of human ancestry that our team has curated since 2014 — and turns what it finds into a history you can actually read. No raw data to decode, no jargon to learn.

How it works

When your invitation arrives, the path is short:

1. 1. Bring your DNA data. It can come from a consumer DNA test you've already taken (such as 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, LivingDNA, or FamilyTreeDNA), a whole-genome sequence, or your existing yfull.com sample.
2. 2. We place you on the tree. yfull.ai reads the paternal (Y-DNA) and maternal (mtDNA) markers in your sample and finds where each of your lines belongs on the research-grade YFull tree.
3. 3. You get your history. From your placement, yfull.ai writes the deep-ancestry story of each line — the branches you belong to, and the people, places, and migrations behind them.

• Your history, in two voices — a plain-language account of each line that anyone can read, alongside a scientific section with the dates, sources, and published research behind it.
